The Clock Is Constitutional

Under the 22nd Amendment to the United States Constitution, no person may be elected President more than twice.
A presidential term ends automatically at noon on January 20 following an election cycle.
This limit is not optional, not political, and not subject to interpretation.
Power in a constitutional democracy is temporary by design.

The U.S. Constitution does not allow any exceptions to a president’s term limits. The 22nd Amendment strictly says a person cannot be elected president more than twice. That rule applies even in a war, national emergency, or any so-called “crisis.” Ideas like staying in office longer under martial law, emergency powers, or ignoring the Constitution are illegal and impossible. Courts, Congress, and the Constitution itself prevent any president from extending their term. Power ends on the fixed date—there is no loophole.
